Affiliate Marketing | Top Advice For Affiliate Marketers

I’m going to begin with telling you that this is an article on helping you get clear on Affiliate marketing and my number 1 advice.

There is nothing to buy, I have only advice from what I learned and to keep you from being disappointed in your marketing.

I’ll begin with ADVICE:

Advice is just what it says…”Advice.”  Do you take advice and react or “It’s advice but I’ll do it without your advice.”

And that’s perfectly okay!.  As said, it’s advice…it’s my opinion, my suggestion and my thoughts.

So what is Advice:  “recommendation regarding a decision or course of conduct : COUNSEL.  An official notice concerning a business transaction.”

With that over, What Is The Number 1 Advice To Successful Affiliate Marketing?

And I’ll get to that in a minute, but first let me introduce me, my mistakes and embarrassing moments.

My name is Bill.  I have been in corporate America for well over 25 years, 20 years in my personal healthcare business and affiliate marketing going on 7 years.

The definition of Marketing is not very well known.  Many people think of marketing as Sales.  And nothing could be further that the truth.

Marketing results in Sales!!  Without Marketing there would be no sales or at a minimum “some” sales, only if the product or service is already well known.

Here’s some examples:

• Coca-Cola MARKETS their products that results in sales.
• M&M MARKETS their products that results in sales.
• Ford MARKETS their cars that results in sales.
• Nike MARKETS their shoes that results in sales.
• Target MARKETS their stores that results in sales.
• Small business MARKETS their products that results in sales.
• Affiliate Marketers MARKETS their business that results in sales.

And the list goes on.

As a home based business, and an affiliate marketer you need to MARKET your products to get sales.

NO MORE NO LESS…SIMPLE!

When I talk about the success I’ve had in affiliate marketing, I also get flashbacks of the mistakes and struggles of days past.

I also have an embarrassing confession to make…

Guru’s That Sucker You In With Big Promises

I have been suckered into get-rich-quick garbage schemes more than once.  You would think I would have learned my lesson, but the scheming guru’s are good at convincing you that you can make a lot of money by simply doing nothing.  And as I said earlier…nothing could be further from the truth!

You know the ones I’m talking about. The “guru’s” that stands in front of their Lamborghini holding 6 figure checks, and a villa on some tropical island, promising they will tell you their “secret” or “system” that of course, anyone can do with very little effort?

I alway liked the Yacht on sky blue water with palm trees and huge smiles.

Lesson Learned

I have a friend who took pictures of himself in front of large gated houses…the million dollars homes so he could show the pictures of himself and the million dollar house.  He also rented a luxury sports car to impress the audience of his wealth through his “so-called-wealth-producing-product.”

Was he scamming people?  Of course he was.  He was making, at the most less than a 6 figure income.  Was he caught?  Yeah.  He thought all this show would get him wealthy through scamming his wealth producing program.

That was years ago.  Since then this guru rebranded himself and learned that good marketing results in better relationships and income.  He learned how to market himself and his products and today he is a 6 figure earner in affiliate marketing.

How did he do it?  I’ll tell you in a few minutes.

Going back to me.  I got suckered more than a couple times with these “Guru'” and their promises.  In fact the guru that I mentioned was one of my many mistakes.  However there was something about him that I liked, so I kept following him over the years and today I proud to say “he is a good friend.”

7 Years Of Affiliate Marketing Profits

Many people wonder if there are any affiliate marketers who have seen long-term success?   To that question, yes there are some really good affiliate marketers that have become successful and a few who offer their advice or programs to other who want to learn and create their own success story.

We all have our own idea of what “long-term” really is.  My good friend is going on 20 years, another top affiliate marketer is now on 13 years and his partner is 14 years in affiliate marketing.

I’m pretty slow in grasping marketing and the Internet.  I earned my first $20 dollar commission back in June of 2019 and my businesses has not only withstood the test of time, but it has increased profits almost every year.  I owe this not to me but from the advice and guidance from some top marketers.

Well it did take some work and persistence and focus on my part.

In addition to that, I’m more diversified than I first was. I work with 3 different affiliate programs each successful in providing training, support and the latest in Internet marketing.

I normally promote all 3 programs depending on the target market I focusing on.

One program is designed for the “beginner” marketer.  The second is designed for high ticket products which creates high commission but takes longer to see results.  The third program is designed for affiliates who want to use “Digital” marketing with “Done-for-you” emails, funnels and marketing.

Each are different and each are for a different audience.

Over the last 7 + years this sure beats working for a company that could have laid me off at any time or running a business that only profits from a single product or service.  Both of which I was involved with.

I Never Thought I Would Be A Successful Affiliate Marketer With A Success Story

After these many years, and looking back I never thought I would have a success story.  And the story is not complete, it’s still going on.

I found out by reading “Think And Grow Rich” and “The Secret” my success was based upon desire, faith in myself and willingness to never give up even when there were road-blocks.

You, too, could become an affiliate marketing success story if you really want this bad enough.

All I wanted was to earn just enough to get by without having to work for someone else or the stress of running my healthcare practice.

I know this saying is overused quite a bit… but if I can do this, you can, too.

My Top Advice If You Want To Become An Affiliate Marketing Success Story

At the start of this article I told you, I would give you The Number 1 Advice To Successful Affiliate Marketing.

My top advice is:  Have patience!

That is my #1 tip for those that want to become their own affiliate marketing success story. You have to be patient.

This is a business just like any other businesses. Most small businesses take 5-7  years to truly start turning a profit.

Affiliate marketing absolutely is a legitimate business that can earn you well into the 6 or even 7 figures, but you should not expect that to happen without months, if not years of hard work and consistent effort.

The vast majority of affiliate marketers never find success simply because they give up. Most beginners in affiliate marketing are very motivated in the first few weeks, months, but then life gets in the way, other things take priority, and affiliate marketing businesses become deserted and soon they quit.
