The title of this post is: Wealthy Affiliate | Is WA Really Free? Before I begin let’s define FREE: When looking up free in Merriam-Webster you will see 15 definitions but what your looking for is definition Number 1…not costing or charging anything.
So is Wealthy Affiliate WA really FREE? Well Yes and No.

Free affiliate marketing? Sounds too good to be true…but you can get free training, website and more and yes it is FREE! HOW?
Any business yes any business that offers their product for free means they won’t be in business for long.
Think about it. You go to a shoe store and all their shoes are free. How long will the shoe store be in business? Not Long.
So how long does Wealthy Affiliate think they will be in business? 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 50 years?
Wealthy Affiliate started in 2005 and they are still in business and actually growing each and every year.

With that being said, almost everyone, me included joins at the free membership level. With that membership, you get free basic affiliate marketing training, two free websites and free support.
Is The Free Membership Truly Free?
Yes it is. You don’t need a credit card and no one will ask you for money. Your free membership is a gift. No strings attached.
The purpose of the free membership is to give you a full understanding of Wealthy Affiliate without risking a dime. When you join at the free starter membership level and go through the free training, you’ll understand what you must do to make money online.

Don’t Get Scammed
I have seen a lot of “Get Rich Quick” schemes on the Internet. All they want is your money. I’ll go out on a limb by saying that over half or better are nothing more than a Scam!

Another questionable title is: “Make Money While You Sleep”
Possible? Sure is and many affiliate marketers are “making money while they sleep” however they have also paid their dues and worked hard to get to that degree of success.
Most of their program, “How To Make Money While You Sleep” require you to pay a fee, which is okay or they call it “investment.” Then once you pay for the program you soon will find out that in order to make the “Big” money they want you to invest more.
Many of these programs will tell you that there is value to invest in your education. And while I believe this is true, do they really believe $3,000 – $4,000 and up is necessary? I don’t think so.
Wealthy Affiliate will get you where you want to go for a whole lot less. Plus, you can Google and watch YouTube to receive free training that many of these high price companies are charging you for.
Here is what a lot of these companies will do…You purchased their program with a Credit Card, so now they have your Credit Card on file.
During the course of your membership, they will want you to “invest” more in your training. It is so easy, because your Credit Card is on file and it’s easy for you to say
Yes. Before you know it your initial membership is now many thousands of dollars.
As you keep investing more, they will tell you the real secret to making money is to become a Master Marketer or what ever they call it, and that is More Money and we will just add that to your Credit Card.
I like their comment: “You are investing in your education. You will easily pay back with the increase in commissions.”
How do I know? I got sucked into a program that kept asking for more money to be a better marketer. After several thousands of dollars, I had enough of the up-selling and quit.
Was I scammed? Not really, I just found out that the program was not what I was looking for or ready to promote.
Was that program a good program…Yes it is and many are making money. But for every one succeeding there are many more struggling to make a dime.
What I didn’t like was the with constant badgering to “Buy More.” Even the monthly webinars turned out to be a “Get In Your Pocket” webinar.
You have to protect your hard earned money, so falling for these up-grades will put a healthy dent in your wallet!
